The joy of all the dancing people, from children to adults, show that happiness is something that is more than cross-cultural, it is universal. All around the world, from Soweto to New York to North Korea, people are innately governed by the same principles and morals. Like that study of a tribe that has not come into contact with other people and they understood smiling as well. (http://www.gladwell.com/2002/2002_08_05_a_face.htm hee i didn’t realise i got that from Malcolm Gladwell.)
I guess that comes to show that beneath a person’s skin colour, income level, personality, we are all inherently the same. All that racism, that is just stereotyping and bigotry in thinking that we are better than them just because they are different than us. And that whole thing about caucasians being more pretty, well that is just a result of Hollywood’s worldwide impact on the media and thus our view on beauty. Well sort of. We have to learn how to overlook appearances and realise that beauty is more than skin deep.
Maybe i am over-analysing this video. It is a very cute video though! If you cannot appreciate it for it’s unconditional embrace of all races, at least look at the change of his facial hair over time! :)
